Each team's top performer from the 2026 Draft
D-backs: Ryder Helfrick, C (No. 2)
Arizona’s strength on the farm is its catching, and the D-backs bolstered that by taking the Arkansas backstop 15th overall in July. Helfrick came as advertised offensively, showing off good power with five homers and a .521 slugging percentage in 24 games with Single-A Visalia while struggling against breaking balls and offspeed leading to a 26.4 percent K rate. His defense and arm strength behind the plate, along with the pop, can help paper over some of the hit-tool concerns.
